GoGaS has developed a gas-powered, medium-wave infrared emitter especially for industrial applications. By combining these radiators, the customer obtains a homogeneous radiator field of almost any length and width.
The AK 4 emitter operates according to the forced air principle, i.e. a fan is required for the combustion air. The controlled supply of combustion air and gas enables a higher surface temperature and therefore higher power densities than with atmospheric gas IR radiators, which operate according to the injector principle. Furthermore, a finer, infinitely variable output adjustment in the range of 50 to 100 %, in relation to the gas flow rate, is possible. The heaters can be operated with both natural gas and liquid gas.
Advantages
- Robust industrial design with corrosion-resistant combustion chamber
- Width and length switch-off possible
- Fast heating and cooling behaviour
- Low-emission combustion
- Insensitive to soiling due to supply air filtration and overpressure
- Extraction system for effective removal of e.g. water vapour and combustion products
Benefit
- Low energy consumption due to high efficiency
- Low operating costs due to gas as an energy source
- Long service life compared to electric IR heaters
- High evaporation performance
- Low spare parts costs
- High system availability
Field of application
- Textile drying
- Lacquer drying
- Powder gelling
- Heating and thawing processes
