The use of dark radiators is an economical alternative for completely frozen wagons. Dark radiators have a significantly lower surface temperature than light radiators. This extends the dwell time of the wagons in the system while at the same time reducing the risk of overheating.
Optionally, the defrosting process can be supported by an additional warm air supply from below.
After defrosting the edge zones, the wagons are easily unloaded in the unloading station by tilting them (180° rotation).
