Optimum air distribution

 

RHENUS, EISENACH:

A regenerative system was sought for the efficient heating of a 9,000 m2 warehouse at the Eisenach site. The focus was on reducing the consumption of fossil fuels (natural gas). With the LUBI Wall solar air system, GoGaS has the optimum solution. The system is installed directly on the façade of the building with little installation effort and brings the sun's energy directly into the hall as warm air for heating. The supply of fresh air and the even distribution of the heated air also improve comfort in the building.

In summer operation, the hall climate becomes more comfortable due to night-time cooling. The LUBI Wall collector system with panels made of weather-resistant polycarbonate was installed on an area of 250 rn2 on the hall façade.

The system was put into operation on February 15, 2023. On the meter reading date of May 31, 2023, i.e. after an operating time of just 3.5 months, the LUBI Wall system delivered a yield of 15 MWh of renewable heat. Significant savings have been achieved to date through the use of renewable energy:

  • 3.03 tons of CO2
  • 1,500 m3 natural gas
  • 3,000 € energy costs (at € 0.20 per kWh)

The investment therefore pays off not only for the operator but also for the environment.
